AI for Agriculture
Artificial Intelligence in agriculture refers to the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the agriculture industry. With the help of using machine learning algorithms, crop yields, and weather pattern predictions, monitoring soil health can be improved at an ultimate level. AI is also used in precision agriculture, where data from drones, sensors, and other sources is analyzed to make more informed decisions about planting, fertilizing, and harvesting crops.
- Usage of drones to monitor farming, and land conditions, and optimize resource usage: Drones will take pictures of the land before cultivation, and images of the land will suggest what kind of preparation the land needs to get ready for farming; based on the farmer’s selection of crop, the AI software will suggest the optimum ploughing process, proper usage of fertilizer in terms of quantity and other process of fertilization.
- Sensors can be installed in the field to prevent any sort of damage:Sensors will be installed in the farming area to sense any sort of damage in the field or future threats in the field, such as harmful insect attacks, locust attacks, or fungal diseases. In case of any attack or any decease, the AI software will detect before the mass attack or mass damage and will suggest the farmer necessary steps to follow as an urgent remedy.
- AI-fed weather prediction is an accurate implementation of technology in agriculture. AI will generate the weather data of a particular place of cultivation of previous years, to predict upcoming weather conditions and to take measures in case of unprecedented rains, storms, and droughts.
